Christmas is around the corner, but first

Lets talk about Halloween. The back country offers a long walk between houses to go trick or treating. It is a nice drive into town to visit the many haunted houses, or trick or treat a few neighborhoods. Before you go, make sure to check out the neighborhood.

Mean time the events hosted in the back country include and are not limited to:

KPBS

has a Halloween Calendar A couple of the events listed include The 2016 Bates Nut Farm Pumpkin Patch, San Diego Art Institute’s Halloween Exhibitions, Pumpkin Station El Cajon 2016 at Parkway Plaza, and many more pumpkin patches around the county.

San Diego’s website includes both family and adult only listings. There is always somewhere to go like the Belmont Park’s Boomont Park Fall Festival and Haunt.

There is once again San Diego’s Monster Bash with ticket prices increasing at midnight, not sure if that is today, October 5, 2016 or ??? The banner is not clear. However, tickets are still on sale.

In the San Diego Back Country the events include:

Potrero Library’s Halloween event. Here is the calendar The event is Friday, October 28,2016 beginning at 5 p.m. Crafts, music, haunted house, and costume contest.

Waiting to here from the Dulzura Community Center.

Be safe when trick or treating. Ensure you are visible. Some of these back roads are treacherous. Even in town, carry a flash light, be seen.

Have a safe and fun Halloween. And remember to stop by the cafe for your breakfast buffet, lunch, and dinner. Sunday we will be open til 7, Friday & Saturday til 8.

Happy Halloween.
