Barrett Junction Cafe & Mercantile

Wishing you all a Food Delicious Day.

Cabrones motorcycle and car club

Sunday marked the annual Cabrones event.  It was a perfect day, sun and warmth through out the day.  We were full up front and rear parking was taken up by hundreds of bikers, car enthusiasts, and those who just enjoyed the fun.

We had a great day over all.  Time to serve took a bit longer than anticipated, but we got it done.

If you were here, check in at our Facebook page or Google +.  Don’t forget we are on TripAdvisor as well.  These have become the most popular.  However, take a look at the sidebar for more places to share with us.

Barrett Junction Valley

The view coming into the valley is spectacular no matter what time of year it is.  I love coming home when I reach the zenith and before descending into the valley.   Fresh air prevails at this elevation.

Would you like to reserve a day for your organization’s events?  Give us a call, 619-468-3416 and set up your tables for the day.  Or reserve the patio with the large stage.  We have room.

Barrett Junction Cafe Stage

The stage at the patio, rear.  Room to dance and to stage a small band.  🙂

Enjoy a bit of history, take a tour of the large dining hall and the cafe area.  Pictures of past families, many who’s ancestors founded the valley into Dulzura.

A bit of Barrett Junction Cafe History

Cowboys and rodeos are a part of the San Diego Backcountry History.  Story stands that rodeos use to be held across the street from the Cafe and the fish fry all you can eat with beer and dancing every Friday night.  🙂

What is your history with the Cafe?  Please send me a brief about a time your history joined with the Cafe.  With your permission I will share it with our readers.  Photos welcome.  (PS It is your story, if you later change your mind, let us know, I will delete it.  CK)

Time to go be a waitress. Are you coming out for lunch today?  See you then.
